FAQs
What Is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup is a form of tattooing that will enhance your natural beauty and enhance your features you wish to me more noticeable. This is done by implanting pigment into the dermis to appear like natural looking makeup, Permanent Makeup can also be referred to as cosmetic tattooing or micro pigmentation.
All permanent cosmetics procedures are considered permanent as pigment is implanted into the upper reticular part of the dermal layer of the skin. As with any tattoo or implanted pigment, fading does occur, requiring periodic maintenance referred to as color boosts or touch ups.
Are you licensed and legal to work in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma has the highest and most rigorous standards for permanent makeup in the nation. We adhere to all state regulations, hold current licenses, insurance and we travel extensively to seek additional certifications.
What is the difference between Microblading and Ombre Brows?
Microblading mimics hair strokes and has a more natural filled in appearance. Powder brows resembles more of a powdery makeup look.
Microblading is not a good procedure for anyone with oily skin, or sensitive skin or for someone for very little brow hair or over previous permanent makeup on the brow area.
Powder brows works for most skin types.
Beauté Du Jour, does not offer microblading.
Is Permanent Makeup safe?
Yes. We take every measure to provide you with a clean and safe procedure. In addition to every procedure taking place within a medical setting, these procedures are overseen by an Oklahoma licensed and board certified physician. Top equipment, materials, pigments and disposable tools are used in every procedure. We’ve also implemented several COVID-19 precautions to help keep you safe during this global pandemic.
Do I need to book a consultation prior to services?
It's completely normal to be apprehensive about booking, after all it is your face we are talking about. For this reason, a consultation is built into your appointment to discuss all of your concerns and design wishes.
How often should I return for maintenance services?
We recommend that you have your brows maintenence every 18-24+ months.
The more time allowed between maintenance sessions will be better for your skin. The skin cannot be overworked, as this can cause too much trauma to the skin. Permanent makeup will not replace makeup for all clients. This all will depend on clients natural skin color, health of skin, skin type.
